Guru Nanak Kheti Stores

We are located out on Alandi Road in Jagraon. Most of the folks who pull up to our front door are looking for things to help with their farms or their back gardens. We have various bags of seeds and different kinds of hand tools leaning against the walls in no particular order. The whole place has that smell of dry earth and fertilizer, which I suppose is just part of the job. The shop gets pretty dusty because of all the trucks and tractors kicking up dirt on the road right outside. We spend a lot of our day just talking to people about what they’re planning to plant this season or what’s been growing well for them. This isn't one of those big, clean showrooms you see in the city. It’s just a simple desk and some sturdy shelves filled with supplies that people actually use. Sometimes we have to tell a customer we’ll need a few days to order a specific part or a certain type of feed if we’ve run out. My hands are usually a bit stained from moving the heavy sacks around all morning. We keep a ledger for the regulars who come in every month. There isn't any air conditioning, so the front door stays wide open all day long. It can get quite loud with the traffic outside, but you get used to it after a while. We don't have a lot of help, just me and my brother.
