Garg Kheti Stores

Garg Kheti Stores is right here in Jagraon. Since this is a farming area, we see a lot of people who work the land. My day starts with the sun because farmers are always up early. They come in looking for seeds, tools, or some help with their crops. The shop is filled with the smell of earth and metal. We have rows of bags stacked up and heavy equipment leaning against the walls. It’s not the cleanest place because there’s always a bit of mud being tracked in, but that’s part of the job. I spend a lot of time listening to stories about the rain or the lack of it. It’s a simple life. I wear my old clothes because I’m always lifting things or opening bags. We have a small desk in the corner where I keep the accounts, though it’s usually covered in papers and dust. The seasons dictate how busy we are. When it's sowing time, there is barely a moment to breathe, but in the off-season, we sit around and talk more. I’ve known most of these people since I was a kid. We don't use any fancy marketing. People come to us because we’ve been here in Jagraon for a long time and they know what to expect. It’s just a practical shop for people who do hard work every day in the fields.
