Virat Refractories

Virat Refractories is located right across from Jwala Chakki in Hanuman Ganj. It's a busy part of town, especially with the mill nearby. You can usually hear the sounds of the neighborhood while we are working. We deal with refractory items, mostly things for furnaces and high-heat jobs. The shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot of stock into the space we have. It’s often a bit cluttered with samples and crates, but we know where everything is. Hanuman Ganj has a lot of history, and we feel like we are a small part of the daily life here. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate logos on every wall. It’s just a place of business where we talk to customers and load up trucks. Sometimes the traffic on the road makes it hard to get deliveries in, but we manage. We’ve been here long enough that most people just call us by name. It’s a hands-on kind of job. We are usually covered in a bit of grit by the end of the day. That's just the nature of working with these kinds of materials. We keep it simple and just focus on the bricks and linings that people come to us for. It’s a regular shop for regular work. We don’t have fancy uniforms, just some old shirts that we don’t mind getting dirty while we move the heavy stock around.
