Vindhyashree Kisan Seva Producer Company Limited is based out in Keoti Lalgaon at Drigpal Singh’s place. It’s a long way from any big city, which is fine by us because all our work is right here in the soil. Drigpal is the one who keeps things organized, though he’s usually busy out in the yard most of the day. Our "office" is a small room with a low ceiling and a single window that looks out over the fields. We have a few ledgers and a calculator that’s missing the 'zero' button, but we make it work. It’s a practical operation for practical people. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising because everyone in Lalgaon already knows where we are. Vindhyashree Kisan Seva was set up to help the local kisan get their goods to market without too much trouble. It’s a lot of coordination and phone calls to truck drivers. We drink a lot of water from the clay pot in the corner and try to stay cool when the sun is high. Sometimes the neighbor's goats wander into the yard while we are having a meeting, and we have to shoo them away. It’s just the way things are in Keoti. We are just a group of local people trying to make the farming business a little more steady for everyone in the neighborhood. There isn't much more to it than that.
