Shri-Gourigopal Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out in Village Harri Bargi, which is part of the Jabalpur area. You can find us at the home of Prem Lal Patel, who is the son of Poona. It’s a rural spot, very much surrounded by the fields we work in. We don’t have a big corporate office in the city; we prefer being right where the farming actually happens. The Bargi area has good soil, but it takes a lot of effort to get a good harvest. Our company is really just a group of us who decided that sharing the load was the only way to get ahead. The office is really just a corner of the house with a computer that works most of the time and a stack of notebooks. We spend a lot of time walking the rows and checking on things. When people come by to talk business, we usually end up sitting on the porch. It’s not a fancy life, and the business isn’t fancy either. We have to deal with the same problems every year, like the water supply or finding enough help during the picking season. There’s a lot of mud on our boots most days, and the office floor shows it. We aren't here to make any grand statements. We just want to make sure the work we do in Harri Bargi pays off for everyone involved. It’s a simple, honest way to live and work.
