Mahrajpur Farmer Producer Company Limited is based at 270, Anand Nagar, in the Adhartal area of Jabalpur. We are located at Arun Kumar Pandey’s place. Adhartal is a busy part of town, so there is always something happening outside the gate. Our company is all about bringing the farmers from the Mahrajpur area together. We use a part of the house as our main office where we keep all the registers and meet with the directors. It is a very local operation. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most of our work is done through face-to-face conversations and phone calls. We spend a lot of time figuring out how to get better prices for the grain and vegetables our members grow. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes it feels like we are just chasing our tails, but we get there in the end. The house in Anand Nagar is a good base for us because it’s easy for people to reach. We often have farmers dropping by in the evenings to discuss their problems or just to share a bit of news. It is a humble way to run a business, but it works for us. We are just regular people trying to make the agricultural system work a bit better for our neighbors and the community around us.
