Jappa Soda

Jappa Soda is located in the town of Katkati. We are right by the Katkati Gate in the Kirar Pura area. Our spot is in Nehru Nagar, specifically near the Noorani Masjid. If you find the Sherimal Hotel, you are almost at our doorstep. It’s a lively part of the town with people coming and going from the masjid and the hotel all the time. The sound of the gate and the traffic is just something we live with. We make soda here. It’s a straightforward process that doesn't require a lot of talking. We mostly just focus on the bottles and the machines. The floor is usually a bit wet because that's just how it goes when you’re working with drinks. We don't have a fancy front office for meetings. Usually, we just talk to people right where the work happens. The neighborhood knows us well because we’ve been around the Katkati Gate for years. It’s a dusty area, but we try to keep our workspace as clean as we can. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just life in Nehru Nagar. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the soda is ready for whoever needs it. It’s a local operation run by local people who understand how this town works. We take our breaks near the hotel sometimes when the sun is too high.
