Garment Complex

We are located right at the Gohalpur Crossing, where Katni Road meets the NH7. If you know Jabalpur, you know how busy that intersection gets. There’s always a lot of noise and traffic right outside the door. Inside the complex, it’s mostly just piles of clothes and people trying to find the right sizes. We handle a lot of different garments, mostly stuff people wear every day. It’s not a fancy boutique or anything like that. It’s just a place where we get clothes in and move them out to the shops or to people coming in off the road. I’ve been working here for years and you get used to the rhythm of the place. The morning starts with unloading whatever arrived on the trucks overnight. Then we spend the rest of the day sorting things out. It’s a big space but it fills up fast. Sometimes it feels like we’re drowning in fabric. We don't have any air conditioning, just some big fans that move the hot air around. It’s honest work, though. People need clothes and we have them. We’ve seen a lot of regulars come through over the years. They know the quality is okay for the price. We don’t spend much on decorating the place, we just focus on the stock. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, but we know where everything is kept.
