S S Uniwears

S S Uniwears is located at C9 Sanskar Parisar on Amkhera Road in the Gohalpur area of Kukatpally. We make uniforms and different types of wear for people. The shop has sewing machines running for most of the day. It gets a bit loud with all the clicking and whirring. We have rolls of fabric stacked up against the walls. Usually, it's cotton or polyester blends in various colors. People come in with their measurements and we write them down in a big notebook. We don't use fancy software for that, just pen and paper. Gohalpur is a busy neighborhood and Sanskar Parisar is a familiar spot for the locals. We spend a lot of time cutting fabric and checking the stitching. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit before we can get back to work. It’s a small operation with a few staff members who know how to handle the machines. We focus on getting the sizes right. There is always a lot of thread on the floor by the end of the day. We try to keep things tidy but it’s hard when you are busy with orders. We don't have a big display window. People usually just know about us through word of mouth. It is a steady life here in Kukatpally. We work on all kinds of requests, from school outfits to work clothes, and we just try to get them finished on time. We keep a few chairs for people to sit while we talk about the designs.
