Ashi Herbal

Ashi Herbal is found on Sadar Main Road in the Sadar area of Jabalpur. This part of town is usually crowded with shoppers and traffic, so there is always a lot of dust that we have to wipe off the jars. We focus on herbal products and treatments here. The shop has a particular smell because of the different powders and oils kept on the wooden shelves. Most of the people who come in are local residents of Sadar who have been walking past this spot for years. The front door stays open most of the time to let in some air, even though it brings in the noise from the main road. We have a small desk where we keep our records and a few chairs for visitors. The walls are painted a simple color and we have some old pictures hanging up. We spend our mornings preparing the mixtures and checking the stock levels. It is a quiet kind of work compared to the chaos outside on the street. Jabalpur can get very cold in the winter, so we sometimes keep the door closed then. We don't have any modern gadgets, just the traditional tools we have always used. People come here when they want something simple and herbal. We stay open until the street lights come on and the market starts to quiet down for the night. Our days are full and we just keep going every day in Jabalpur.
