Akshat Engineering

You can find Akshat Engineering at No-23 in Porwal Market. We are tucked away in Jabran Colony on the main road. It’s right near Sonkar Dharamshala, so people usually use that as a landmark to find us. The market is usually pretty loud with people shouting and bikes zooming past all day. We do a lot of engineering work right here in the shop. It’s not a huge place, but we make it work with the benches we have. Most of the shelves are overflowing with old parts and bits of metal we might need later. We’ve been in Jabran Colony for a good bit of time now. We know most of the guys in the neighboring shops. Sometimes we borrow a tool from them and they do the same with us. It’s a tight community of workers. The work is mostly manual. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting things to size. Our hands are always a bit dirty by the time lunch rolls around. We usually eat together at the small table tucked in the back. There isn’t any fancy decoration here. Just some old calendars on the walls and the smell of cut steel and oil. We don’t use many big words to describe what we do. We just fix what is broken or make things that people need. The main road is always busy which keeps things interesting for us. People just walk in with stuff and we see if we can help.
