Sri Ganapathy Traders

Up in Taliparamba, in the Kudiyanmila area, you can find our trading spot. Sri Ganapathy Traders is basically a local operation. We don’t have a big fancy building, just a solid place to keep our goods. Most of the work involves moving stuff in and out throughout the week. The roads around Kudiyanmila can be narrow, so we have to be careful with the deliveries. It’s a simple life here. We open up in the morning, sweep the front, and wait for the regulars. We trade various items, whatever is in demand locally. We don't use much technology, mostly just notebooks and the old calculator. It works for us. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. The community here is close, so we know most of the people who stop by. We aren't trying to become some huge company. We just want to do our work and go home to our families. Some days are slow and we just chat about the weather or local news. Other days, we are loading sacks until our backs ache. It is honest work. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t need a big sign. People just know where the traders are located. It’s just how things are done in this part of town, and we are happy with that. We plan to keep doing this as long as we can stay active.
