Kuberji Rice Mills

Our mill, Kuberji Rice Mills, is in V.P.O. Kaimhara. It’s a bit out of the way if you aren't from around here. It’s a rural area, and we are part of the local landscape. We don't have the fancy equipment you might see in the big cities, but our machines do what they need to do. Life in Kaimhara is slow, which is how we like it. Most of the people who bring their rice to us are our neighbors. We’ve known them for years. We don’t do any marketing because everyone in the village already knows who we are and where to find us. The mill is a place where people often stop to chat while they wait for their grain. It’s a bit dusty and the floor is always covered in husks, but that’s just how a rice mill is. We don't have a big management team; it's mostly just family and a few helpers. We focus on the daily tasks and don't worry too much about the rest. Every season brings its own challenges, like the heat or the heavy rains, but we just keep the doors open and the machines running. It’s a honest way to make a living and we are glad to be part of Kaimhara. We don't need much else besides a good harvest and our machines working right. It’s a quiet life, but it’s ours and we stay busy with it.
