Bharat Rice & Allied

Our place, Bharat Rice & Allied, is situated right on Karnal Rood in Indri. It’s a busy stretch of road, and there is always a lot of traffic passing by, mostly trucks and tractors heading to various parts of the district. The mill itself is a solid building that has seen plenty of seasons. Inside, it’s all about the rice. We have the allied side of the business too, which keeps us extra busy throughout the year. The air in Indri can get quite thick with the smell of the fields, and that carries right into the mill. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy descriptions of what we do. It’s just us, working with the grain and making sure the machines are greased and running right. Some days are longer than others, especially when the harvest comes in and everyone wants their rice processed at the same time. The floor is usually covered in a bit of grit, and the noise of the hullers is something you just get used to after a while. We have a few old desks in the corner for the paperwork, but most of the action happens out on the floor. It’s a simple way of life, tied to the land and the crops that come off it. We just try to keep up with the demand and stay out of trouble. It’s what we know, and it’s what we do here on the road.
