Bishkarma Driving School

Our school is located right on GB Road in Agartala, specifically at Shop No 14 in the Shyamli Bepanibitan building on the ground floor. If you know Agartala, you know how busy GB Road can get with all the rickshaws and pedestrians. We spend most of our day either in the small office or out on the road with students who are nervous about touching the steering wheel for the first time. The office is pretty basic, just a desk, some chairs, and a bunch of forms for driving licenses. We have a few cars parked nearby that we use for the lessons. It gets quite loud because we are on the ground floor, but we are used to the city noise by now. Teaching people to drive in Tripura is an experience because the roads can be narrow and you really have to pay attention. We see all kinds of people, from young kids to older folks who finally decided they want to learn. We don't do anything fancy, just explain the clutch, the gears, and the traffic rules until they get it right. Sometimes it takes a lot of patience, especially when someone stalls the engine in the middle of a busy intersection. But that is just part of the job. We are here every day except for the big holidays, just keeping the cars running and the students moving.
