Vardhmaan General Stores & Kirana Shop

Vardhmaan General Stores & Kirana Shop is situated at 12/17, Scheme No.54 in the Vijay Nagar area of Indore. We are very close to Sica School, so we get a lot of noise and energy from the students when they finish their classes. The shop is part of a residential block, so it feels very much like a part of the neighborhood. We stock all the usual kirana items like pulses, flour, spices, and cleaning supplies. The shelves are made of wood and have been there since we opened. We don't have any bright neon signs or automatic doors. It’s just a regular shop where you walk in and ask for what you need. Vijay Nagar is a growing part of Indore, but our little corner at 452010 stays pretty much the same. We know most of our customers by their first names and we know what they usually buy. Sometimes the deliveries arrive in big jute bags that we have to haul inside and pour into containers. It is hard work, but it keeps us busy. We use a small hand-held scale for some things, though we have a digital one now for the heavier bags. It’s a simple, local business that serves the families living around Scheme No.54, providing the basics without any unnecessary complications. We just keep the inventory stocked up and handle the daily rush when the school lets out.
