Vaishali General Store

Vaishali General Store can be found on R N T Road in Indore at number 187. This is a fairly busy part of town, so there is always someone coming in for something they forgot to buy elsewhere. Our store is quite simple, with a wide variety of things scattered around. We have stationery, some basic medicines, toiletries, and of course, a lot of snacks. The shelves are a bit mismatched because we’ve added them one by one over the years. R N T Road is always full of vehicles, so there’s a constant hum of engines in the background. We usually open the shutters around nine and start by cleaning the front steps. Most of our day is spent helping people find what they need among the crowded aisles. It’s not the most organized place, but we generally know where we’ve tucked away the light bulbs or the specific brand of soap someone wants. The evenings are the busiest when people are heading home from work. We don't have any fancy marketing or big neon signs. It’s just a plain storefront with some old posters on the door. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit mixed up, and we have to spend an hour sorting through boxes of pens or toothbrushes. It’s a practical kind of job, and we just try to keep the basics available for the local community in Indore as best as we can every day.
