The Creative Kitchen (Radisson Blu Hotel)

We are situated inside the Radisson Blu Hotel over on Ring Road in Indore. Being in Vijay Nagar means it’s always busy around here, especially with all the movement in Scheme No 94 C. The Creative Kitchen is where we spend our shifts, tucked away in the building at number 12. It’s a fast-paced environment, and the heat from the equipment is something you just get used to after a week on the job. We aren't here to give speeches about fine dining; we’re just here to get the work done and make sure everything is ready on time. The floors are usually a bit wet from cleaning, and there is always a stack of crates somewhere that needs moving. It’s an honest living. We work with what we have, and sometimes the supplies come late or the order is slightly off, but we figure it out. The hotel is a big landmark, so we never have to explain where we are to the delivery drivers. Most of us have been in this kitchen for a while, so we have our own way of doing things that might look a bit messy to an outsider but makes sense to us. We don’t use a lot of fancy terminology. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep the noise levels down when the doors are open. It’s a job that keeps us on our feet all day long.
