The Ark Institute

The Ark Institute sits at 11 Mangal Nagar, right on the M R 9 road in Sukhliya. We are opposite the ITI Ground and not far from the Electronic Complex. Indore is a big city, but this corner of Sukhliya feels like its own little community. We set up this institute because we saw a lot of students needing a place to focus away from the noise of home. It’s a simple setup. We have a few rooms with enough benches for everyone. We handle different classes throughout the day. Some are in the morning for college students, and then the school kids arrive in the afternoon. We don't have a high-tech lab or anything like that. We use whiteboards and markers. The focus is on the teacher and the student talking to each other. If someone has a question, they just ask it. We don't have a strict hierarchy here. The teachers are approachable and they live around the 452010 area themselves. Being near the ITI Ground means there is often some activity outside, but we keep our windows shut to keep it quiet for the lessons. We’ve been here for a while now. Most people find us because they live nearby or their elder siblings used to come here. It’s just a neighborhood study center where we try to get the work done every day.
