You can find Tamilnadu Tractor Spares at Plot No.12 in Shastri Nagar. We are over in Vijay Nagar, quite close to the bus stand. It is a very busy area with people coming and going for the buses all day and night. We have been selling tractor parts for years because there are so many farmers in the areas surrounding the city. Our shelves are packed with gears, bolts, and all sorts of metal pieces that I can barely keep track of. It gets a bit oily in the shop, but that is expected when you are dealing with engine parts. Most of our customers are guys who have driven their tractors in from the countryside to get a specific part fixed. They usually have a tea at the bus stand and then come over to see us. We don’t do any fancy marketing. Most people just know we are here because their fathers or uncles told them about us. The shop isn't very big, so we have to stack things all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes it takes us a few minutes to find exactly what someone is looking for. We work long hours, especially during the plowing season when everyone is in a hurry to get their tractors back in the fields. It’s a messy job but we enjoy talking to the farmers and hearing about their crops.
