Shri Kirana Store

Shri Kirana Store is right near Ambey Chowk, specifically at Plot 11 in the Lig Colony. It’s a good spot because we are also close to Nehru Nagar. Indore is a fast city, but our corner feels a bit more like a neighborhood. I’ve been here for many years now. People come in for their daily milk or to pick up stuff for dinner. The chowk is always busy with scooters and bikes. Sometimes it’s hard to even hear the customers over the noise. We keep a lot of different things in stock, like dal, rice, and those little packets of spices. It’s a lot of work keeping the shelves organized. Often, I’m still here late at night making sure everything is ready for the next morning. My neighbors are my customers, so I have to make sure the quality is okay. If the tea leaves aren’t good, I’ll hear about it the next day at the tea stall. We don't have a big team, just me and a helper who comes in for a few hours. We don’t do any big advertising or anything like that. Word of mouth is enough in Lig Colony. Everyone knows where the shop is. It is just a practical place for people to get what they need without going all the way to a big market. It’s a simple life running a kirana shop, but it keeps me busy and connected to everyone. We just do our work and keep the doors open.
