Shree Sant Kirana & General Stores

We’ve been here in Vijay Nagar for a while now. Most people find us because we’re tucked right behind the Metro Tower. It’s a busy part of Indore, but our corner stays a bit quieter since we’re next to the Panch Balyati Jain Mandir. The store is basically a small place where we keep all the regular stuff people need for their kitchens. Sometimes it gets crowded in the mornings when the temple has more visitors, and people stop by for a quick packet of tea or sugar. It isn’t a big fancy supermarket, just a normal general store. My family helps out with the stock. We spend a lot of time moving crates and making sure the shelves aren't empty. Being in this part of Indore means we see the same faces every day. The Metro Tower is a good landmark, so if someone asks where Shree Sant Kirana is, we just tell them to look behind the building. The heat in the afternoon can be a bit much, but we have a small fan that keeps things okay. We try to keep a bit of everything, from soap to pulses. It’s hard work keeping everything organized in such a tight space, but that’s just how it goes. We open early because that’s when people want their milk and bread. It’s a simple life running a shop here near the temple.
