Shekhar Ingale

You can find my place at 27/1, North Rajmohlla. I’m Shekhar Ingale, and I’ve set up shop right opposite Bafna Hospital. It’s a good landmark because everyone in this part of Indore knows where the hospital is. Being right across from it means I’m easy to find, even for people who aren't from this specific neighborhood. North Rajmohlla is a crowded area, full of shops and narrow lanes. My clinic is right in the thick of it. It’s not a large space, but it’s enough for what I do. I have a small desk and a couple of stools for patients. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but I never seem to find the time to get it done. My days are mostly spent listening to people and writing things down. Since we are near a big hospital, there is a lot of movement outside all day long. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy, but you get used to it after a while. I don't use a computer for everything; I still like my paper files and my old fountain pen. It feels more real that way. People come in with all sorts of issues, and I just try to give them my honest opinion. I don't have a big sign with flashing lights. Just a simple board with my name on it. It’s a plain, hardworking sort of place, much like the people who live and work around here.
