Sapana Provisions Store

Sapana Provisions Store is located on Dr Hedgewar Marg in the Pardeshipura area, which is quite close to the Old Court. The shop is a bit small but we try to fit as much as we can on the shelves, so it feels a little crowded when more than three people are inside at once. We open up early in the morning, usually before the sun is fully up, to get the milk and bread sorted out for the neighbors. There is a lot of dust that comes in from the road, so we spend a good amount of time dusting off the jars and packets. The floor is old stone and has some cracks here and there from years of moving heavy crates of soda and bags of grain. We know most of the people who come in by their first names because they live right around the corner. Sometimes the old court nearby brings in some extra foot traffic, people looking for a quick snack or a cold drink while they wait for their business to finish. We don't have a computer system, so everything is written down in a big ledger book with a blue pen. The lighting inside is a bit dim because we only have a couple of tube lights, but it stays cool enough even when the weather is hot outside. It is just a regular neighborhood shop where people stop by for their daily needs.
