Applied Tools

If you head down Sanwer Road to Sector F, you’ll find us at A/1. This is a tough part of town where everyone is busy making things. Applied Tools is a shop filled with all kinds of metal objects, wrenches, and machines. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear nice clothes because of the grease and the metal shavings. We spend a lot of time sorting through bins and making sure the inventory is where it should be. The air usually smells like oil and cold steel. We have a heavy rolling door at the front that we pull up every morning. Most of our customers are guys from the nearby factories who need something fixed or a new part for their machines. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. It’s more like a warehouse where we know exactly where every single bolt is hidden. Sometimes we stand out front and watch the trucks go by when it’s slow. The work is physical and can be tiring on the back, but we’ve been doing it a long time. It’s a solid business built on knowing our tools and helping people find what they need for their own jobs. We don’t use any fancy computers for everything; sometimes a notebook and a pen are still the best way to keep track of what comes in and what goes out.
