Rekha Kirana & Genral Store

If you find yourself in the Lig Colony area of Indore, you might see us at Plot No. 158. We are right by the Tagus Nursing Home, which is a big landmark for people around here. Chhoti Karahi is the local name many use for this spot. At Rekha Kirana & Genral Store, things stay pretty steady throughout the week. We open up early because that’s when the colony is most active. People are out getting things for breakfast or just starting their day. The shop has a lot of different items tucked away in corners. You’ll find grains, spices, and all the usual household things stacked up. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, especially when a big shipment of oil or flour comes in and we have to stack it near the back. The nursing home nearby means there are often people passing by who aren’t from the immediate neighborhood, but we mostly serve the families living in the colony. Indore can get quite lively, and our little corner is no different. We spend our time weighing out items and chatting a bit with whoever is at the counter. There’s no big corporate office here, just us at the shop handling the daily chores. The wooden shelves have been here for a while and they hold up okay. It’s just a simple life running a store in the heart of Indore.
