Radhika Provision Store

Our little shop, Radhika Provision Store, is located right in Saiyan, not too far from the NH-3 highway. Being so close to the main road means we get a lot of dust and the constant sound of heavy trucks shifting gears as they pass by. It’s a busy spot, but we like it that way. We mostly sell everyday things that people in the neighborhood need, like soap, cooking oil, and bags of rice. The store is packed from floor to ceiling with boxes and crates, so it’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. I usually spend my mornings counting inventory and making sure the shelves don’t look too empty. We don't have a fancy computer system; everything is mostly written down in a ledger that sits on the counter. The light inside is a bit dim, but we know exactly where every item is kept. Sometimes travelers pull over from the NH-3 because they need a cold drink or some snacks for the road. We try to keep the fridge stocked for them. It’s a simple life here in Saiyan. We open early and close late, and by the end of the day, my back usually aches from lifting the heavy sacks. But that is just how it is when you run a provision store. We’ve been here long enough that the locals are more like friends than customers now. We just keep things going.
