Our shop is at 347-A Mahalaxmi Nagar, right near the SBI ATM and the Bank of India. It’s a good spot because people usually have errands to run at the banks and then they see us and remember they need a new keyboard or their laptop is acting up. We are opposite the Bombay hospital side of things, so it’s a very busy stretch of road. The shop is small and filled with boxes of monitors and printers. We do a lot of repairs right there on the counter while customers wait, or they leave their machines and come back after their shopping. It’s a lot of dusting and plugging in wires. We’ve seen all kinds of computer problems over the years, from spilled tea on keyboards to hard drives that just gave up. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team; we just have a sign outside and some loyal people from the neighborhood who come back when they need help. Mahalaxmi Nagar is a lively area and we feel like we’re right in the thick of it most days. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting at once, but we manage somehow. We just keep working through the pile of repairs until the day is done. It’s a simple life of fixing electronics and selling the odd bit of hardware to whoever needs it to get their work done.
