Panchhika Collection

You can find us at No. 147 in Imli Bazar, which is right in the heart of the J. S. Readymade Market. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s always packed with people looking for clothes and fabrics. Our shop, Panchhika Collection, is tucked in among a lot of other vendors, so it’s easy to walk right past us if you aren't looking. We spend most of our mornings unpacking new arrivals and hanging things up so they don't get wrinkled. The space is a bit tight because we try to fit as much of the collection as we can on the racks. There’s a lot of haggling and chatting going on all day long outside our door. Sometimes the air feels a bit heavy when the market gets really crowded in the evenings. We keep a small stool in the corner for when the feet get tired, but there isn't much time for sitting. We don't bother with fancy displays or lighting. We just put the items out and let people see them for what they are. It’s a simple business, really. We talk to the neighbors, drink tea from the guy who walks around with the kettle, and try to keep the shop tidy despite all the foot traffic. It’s a busy life in Imli Bazar, but we enjoy the daily routine.
