Palak Engineering Fabrication Works

Our place, Palak Engineering Fabrication Works, is located at units 2-3 in Maruti Nagar. We are right in the Banganga area, just off Sawer Road. It’s an industrial patch where everyone is busy making something or other. Our workshop is mostly open to the air, which helps when we are doing a lot of cutting or welding. There is a lot of heavy iron and steel pieces stacked up against the walls. The floor is made of rough concrete and is usually covered in metal shavings by midday. We don't have any fancy signs, just the address painted on the pillar. It gets pretty dusty since the road outside is busy with trucks going back and forth. Most days, we are out there in our work clothes, dealing with whatever job came in that morning. We have a small bench where we sit for tea breaks, and that’s about the only place that stays relatively clean. The machines we use are loud and they vibrate the whole floor when they are running at full speed. It is a simple way of working, and we don't feel the need for a polished showroom. People know where we are, and they just drop by when they need something fabricated. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening.
