Om General Stores

The shop started on AB Road quite some time ago. It’s located right near IPS College, so a lot of students pass through every single day. Most are just looking for a quick snack or maybe a pen they forgot before a big exam. The shelves are always packed with different things. Sometimes it gets a bit messy when a new shipment of stock comes in. Indore is a very busy city and the traffic on this main road never really quietens down. We open up early and stay until the evening hours. Usually, it's just me or one of the boys standing at the counter. We keep the usual items like biscuits, soap, and notebooks. It’s a simple setup. You might have to wait a minute if the shop gets crowded at peak times. The fans hum all day long to keep the afternoon heat away. There’s always a bit of dust from the road because of the constant construction work nearby. We just try to keep things organized so people can find what they need quickly. Some of the regulars have been coming here for years, even from before the college grew so large. Keeping track of everything on the shelves is a lot of work. Sometimes milk or bread runs out faster than we can restock it. That’s just how it goes. We don't have fancy lights or anything. Just a plain shop for the locals and people passing by on their way to work.
