Nilaya Mini Mall

Nilaya Mini Mall is located right in the Rajwada area. You’ll find us very close to the Alankar Theatre, which is where most people go for movies. It’s a very busy part of town, so there is always noise and people walking around outside our doors. We call it a mini mall but it’s really just our small space where we sell a variety of things. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit a lot of items onto the shelves so people have choices when they come in. The lighting isn't the best, but it works for what we need. We spend a lot of time talkin' to the customers who come in. Some are regulars who live just down the street in Rajwada, and others are just passing through after a show at the theatre. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s mostly just a few of us taking turns behind the counter and stocking the shelves when things get low. Sometimes we run out of things or the delivery is late, but that's just part of running a shop. We try to keep things simple and honest. We aren't trying to compete with the huge malls in the big cities. We just want to provide what the local people need right here in our neighborhood. It’s a busy life but we like it.
