Nikhlesh General Store

Being on the Main Road in Ambedkar Nagar means there is never really any silence. Nikhlesh General Store is at number 542, right where all the M Y Road traffic seems to slow down. Indore is a busy city, and this Residency Area part of it is no different. We spend most of our mornings just checking what came in on the truck and what we need to put on the shelves. Sometimes the crates are left a bit messy, so we have to spend time cleaning up. The shop isn't huge, so we have to use every bit of space we have, even stacking things high near the ceiling. It can get a bit hot in the afternoons, especially with the sun coming through the front door. We keep a small radio going sometimes, but usually, the sound of the horns outside is louder. People stop by on their way home from work to pick up things they forgot. We try to keep the staples in stock, like soap and flour and snacks. Every now and then, the power goes out and we have to use a torch to find things in the back. It’s just a regular daily grind. We don't have any big signs or anything, just the shop and the stuff we sell. Most people around here know where we are anyway. It’s a lot of work keeping things going every day in the 452001 area.
