Menka Sarees And Suits

We’re right on M.G. Road at number 498. If you’ve been down this street, you know how busy it gets with all the cars and people. Our shop is a long, narrow space packed with sarees and suit pieces from floor to ceiling. We don't have much in the way of decor, just the wooden counters and some stools for people to sit on while we pull down bundles of cloth. It gets pretty frantic on the weekends when families come in together. We spend all day folding and unfolding fabrics. By the end of the evening, our arms are usually tired, and the shelves are a bit of a disaster. But we tidy it all up before heading home. There’s a lot of dust from the street, so we have to keep cleaning the glass. We’ve been on M.G. Road for a long time and have seen many shops come and go. We aren't trying to be a high-end mall store. We just have a lot of stock and try to find what people are looking for. It’s a lot of talking and showing different patterns. Sometimes the lights flicker when the grid is overloaded, but we just keep going. It is hard work being on your feet all day, but it is what we do.
