Meckal General Store

Being located in Jayrampur Colony puts us right in the middle of things here in Indore. We are quite close to the Collectorate, so there is always someone passing by the shop. It is a general store, so we have a little bit of everything squeezed onto the shelves. From household items to small snacks, we try to have what the neighbors need. The shop at number 72 is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s not a big corporate chain or anything like that. It is just us running the place day in and day out. The 452007 area is quite lively. We see the same faces every morning when people go for their work. We’ve learned what our regulars like over the years. The aisles are a bit narrow, and sometimes you have to move a box to see what's behind it. That's just how we operate. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure things are in order. Sometimes we get new stuff in, and other times we stick to the basics that everyone knows. It gets a bit dusty being so close to the road, but we try to keep it clean. People come in for a quick chat while they pick up their stuff. It’s a local place through and through. Nothing too special, just a regular part of life in Indore. We just like to keep things simple and functional for everyone who visits us.
