Mathlete

We are located at 42 D in the Bakhatawar area of Indore. It’s a specific little pocket of the city that we’ve called home for our classes. The name we chose is Mathlete because we mostly focus on getting students comfortable with numbers and calculations, which is something a lot of them struggle with. Our space isn't huge, but it fits what we need. We started this because we realized that many kids just need a bit more time with math problems than they get in a big classroom at school. The vibe here is very local and informal. We don't wear suits or use complicated management words. We just sit down with the kids and work through the problems on paper. Some days are better than others, and sometimes a student takes a while to grab a concept, but we just keep at it. The Bakhatawar area has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a small part of that over time. Parents usually drop their kids off and then go run their errands nearby. We keep the place tidy, but it definitely looks like a place where work happens—there are papers everywhere and plenty of chalk or marker dust. It’s a simple operation, run by people who actually live in Indore and care about how the local kids are doing. We don’t have a big corporate structure, just a small team doing our daily tasks.
