Mahaveer General Store

We are located at 11/1 Usha Ganj Chhawni, which is right in the heart of Indore. Most people know us because we are right near Laxmi Dairy. If you see the dairy, you’ve basically found us. Mahaveer General Store has been a part of this street for quite some time. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned shop where we keep a bit of everything, from cooking oil to school notebooks for the kids. The morning is usually our busiest time because everyone is out getting their daily supplies after visiting the dairy next door. Indore can get really hot in the summer, so we spend a lot of time just sitting under the fan waiting for the sun to go down. The shop isn't fancy at all, just some wooden counters and racks that have seen better days. We don't have any big signs or anything. We know our customers well; most of them live just a few houses away in the Usha Ganj area. We talk about the weather or the local news while we weigh out the sugar or pack the lentils. It’s a slow pace of life here compared to the main city. Sometimes we run out of things if the wholesaler is late, but people understand. It’s just how things go in a small local business like ours. We just keep things moving one day at a time and try to keep the regulars happy.
