Maa Durga Kirana Stores

We've been here at 207/3 on Main Road for quite a while now. Most people around Tilaknagar know us just as the spot to grab their daily flour or oil. It’s a small place, and it gets a bit crowded in the mornings when the milk arrives and everyone is in a hurry. Indore has changed, but this corner stays mostly the same. My family helps out behind the counter, especially on weekends when everyone is off work and doing their shopping. We don't have fancy scanners or computers, just a pen and a notebook for keeping track of things. It’s a bit dusty because of all the traffic and buses on Main Road, but that’s just how it is when you're right on the street. We try to keep the staples in stock, like lentils and spices, so you don't have to go all the way to the big market. People often stop by just for a quick chat while they wait for their sugar to be weighed. It’s not a big supermarket, just a regular kirana shop where you can get what you need for your kitchen. Sometimes we run out of things if the delivery truck is late, but usually, the shelves are full enough to get by. It's a simple life running a shop here. We see the same faces every day, kids growing up and then coming back with their own kids. That's just how the neighborhood works in this part of Indore.
