Koustubh General Store

Koustubh General Store is situated at 57 Netaji Subash Marg, right in the heart of Imli Bazaar. We are located near the Maharaja Tukoji Rao Holker Cloth Market, which is a very busy part of Indore. Because of the cloth market nearby, there are always people moving about. We sell things that both the shopkeepers and the shoppers might need throughout the day. This includes everything from bottled water and snacks to basic stationery and toiletries. The shop is small and can get very hot in the afternoons. We don't have much room for fancy displays, so things are just stacked where they fit. I've been working here since I was much younger. It’s a loud area with lots of honking and shouting outside, but we are used to it. We know many of the workers from the cloth market who come to us for their daily needs. We don't use any modern technology for our sales. It's just a simple counter and a cash box. Sometimes it's hard to keep everything in stock because space is so limited. We just do our best to keep the shelves full. It’s a busy life in Indore, and we are just happy to be a small part of this market community. It takes a lot of energy to keep going every day, but we manage.
