Shastraa

We have been running Shastraa here in Khatipura for a long time now. It is just a small local place, nothing fancy like the shops you see in the big malls. We open the shutters early in the morning when the street is still a bit quiet. Usually, the first thing we do is sweep the front and get the tea started. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who have known each other for years. People from the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to say hello or ask about something they need. We don’t spend money on big advertisements or flashy signs. The sign we have is a bit faded from the sun, but everyone knows where we are. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and a couple of old desks. We try to keep things in order, but when we get busy, papers tend to pile up a bit. It is a practical way of working. We deal with whatever tasks come our way today and don't worry too much about next week. The traffic in Khatipura can get pretty loud in the afternoons, so we usually have a radio playing in the background to drown out the horns. We aren't trying to be the biggest business around. We just like doing our work and being part of the community here. It’s a simple life, and it suits us just fine. We just keep at it, day after day.
