Khandelwal Stores

You’ll find Khandelwal Stores at 626 on MG Road, right in the Rajawada area near Khajuri Bazar. This is a very old and busy part of town, so there is always a crowd. Our shop is packed with all sorts of items from floor to ceiling. It can get a bit crowded inside when more than a few people come in at once, but we manage. Being at 626 MG Road means we see everyone passing by, from tourists to locals doing their daily shopping. Khajuri Bazar has its own rhythm, and we’ve been a part of it for a long time. We don’t really have a website or anything like that; people just know to come to the store. The shelves are a bit disorganized sometimes, but we know where everything is kept. It’s a traditional way of doing things, I suppose. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There is a lot of history in these streets around Rajawada. We just keep doing what we've always done, selling what people need. The building itself is older, with narrow stairs and high ceilings. It feels like home to us after all these years. If you’re looking for 626, just look for the sign near the main junction. It’s a simple life running a shop here, but it keeps us busy every single day in this part of town.
