Khandaltale Kirana Store

Our shop, Khandaltale Kirana Store, is at 15 Bajarang Nagar on the main road here in Indore. Being on the main road means we see everything that happens in the neighborhood. We have been here long enough that I know most of the families by their first names. We sell the usual things like flour, sugar, spices, and cleaning supplies. The shelves are made of old wood and they creak a bit, but they hold up the heavy jars just fine. I usually get here at seven in the morning to sweep the front and get things ready. Bajarang Nagar is a nice place, though the traffic can get a bit much during office hours. We don't have a big staff, just me and my son helping out when he is not at college. We try to keep prices fair because we know everyone is working hard. It is not a fancy supermarket with bright lights and music. It is just a place where you can get your daily needs without any trouble. Sometimes the stock doesn't arrive on time because of transport issues, but we manage. I spend a lot of time organizing the small packets of spices. It is a lot of work, but it keeps me busy. We aren't doing anything special, just running a regular store for regular people who live nearby.
