Kapils Academy And Salon is situated in the Kshitij building, which is 13/8 on A B Road in Indore. We are right in front of Diplsand, so most people use that as a landmark when they are trying to find us for the first time. Since it’s both a salon and an academy, there is always a lot going on here. We have students learning how to cut hair and style it, while we also have regular customers coming in for their usual appointments. It makes for a very busy environment with a lot of talking and teaching happening at the same time. A B Road is always noisy with cars and bikes, so we keep the door shut most of the time to keep the dust out. I spend my mornings organizing the kits for the students and making sure the salon side is ready for the first client. It is a big space, but it fills up fast. Sometimes the students get a bit nervous, but that’s part of the process. The regulars are used to it and don't mind the extra people around. We have a lot of mirrors and workstations lined up along the walls. It’s a place of work and a place of learning, but at the end of the day, it’s just a local shop on a busy Indore road where we spend our twelve-hour shifts. We try to keep things organized despite the constant movement.
