Kaizen Architects

We’re up in Flat No: 501 at Sky Residency, near Queens College on Khandwa Road. It’s a decent spot that gives us a bit of a view of what’s happening around the area. Kaizen Architects is just a small group of us who are interested in making buildings that actually work for the people inside them. We don’t do the whole corporate polish or have a team of people in suits. Most of us are just in jeans, looking at computer screens or sketching on pads of paper. Khandwa Road is a busy part of the city, and being near the college means there’s always a lot of energy around. We spend our days figuring out the nuts and bolts of architecture. It’s not just about the big picture; it’s about the plumbing, the electrical outlets, and how the roof meets the walls. We have a lot of samples lying around—everything from pieces of granite to different types of glass. It makes the office a bit of a mess, but it helps us show people what we’re talking about. We don't have a prepared speech for when people walk in. We just listen to what they need and tell them what we can do. Some days are spent entirely on site, making sure the contractors are following the plans. It’s hard work and it can be frustrating when things get delayed, but we just keep moving forward.
