Gurukripa General Store

We are set up in the Uttami Chambers over here in Indore. It is right across from the Venktesh Mandir, so we get a good mix of people. Some are coming from the temple and others are workers from the Collectrate nearby. Rajaswagram is a busy part of town. The store isn't very large but we pack a lot into it. We have pulses, spices, and all the regular household items you'd expect. I usually open up early to get the cleaning done before the first customers show up. The afternoon is usually slow when it’s hot outside, but then it picks up again in the evening. We keep a ledger for the regulars who live in the apartments close by. It’s easier that way for everyone. Sometimes we run out of something and I have to call the supplier twice to get it delivered. It's just me and a helper most days. We don't use any high-tech systems, just a simple calculator and some notebooks. The fans hum all day long to keep the place cool. It’s been a few years since we moved into this spot. It feels like home now. People stop by not just to buy things but sometimes just to ask about the news or the weather. We keep the basics like matches, oil, and soap always ready. It's a simple life running a general store in this part of Indore.
