Atish Kirana Stores

I've been running Atish Kirana Stores here in Indore for a while now. Our spot is at 219 Gorinangar, right along the busy A B Road. Living and working in this part of the city means things are always moving fast. Most days start early when I pull up the shutters and start dusting the jars of sweets and the stacks of soap. It gets pretty loud outside with all the traffic on A B Road, but inside the shop, it’s just the usual routine. We keep all the basic stuff people need for their kitchens, like lentils, spices, and tea leaves. Sometimes the weather in Indore gets really dusty, so keeping everything clean is a constant job. People from around Gorinangar usually drop by in the evenings after they finish work. They come in for a loaf of bread or maybe some oil they forgot to buy earlier in the month. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop with shelves that go up to the ceiling. I try to keep everything organized, but sometimes the boxes pile up in the corner when a new delivery arrives. There’s always someone stopping by to ask for directions or just to check the price of rice. That’s just how it goes here. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but the shop stays mostly the same, just a dependable place on the road.
