Annapurna Kirana & General Store

We are located at 01, Main Road in Indore, right in the heart of the 452001 area. Being on the main road means there is never a quiet moment. We have a lot of different items packed into the store, from soap and toothbrushes to large sacks of flour. The space is a bit tight because we try to keep as much as possible on hand for whoever walks in. The floor is concrete and has seen a lot of feet over the years. We open up early in the morning before the sun gets too high. Most of our customers are just neighbors grabbing a few things they forgot for dinner. Sometimes children come in for a single piece of chocolate or a small toy. We have a wooden counter that has been there since the beginning. It feels like a very traditional way of doing business, which is what we are used to. There is no air conditioning, just the breeze from the street and a ceiling fan that squeaks a little bit. We don't have any big signs, just the name above the door. It is a lot of hard work, especially when the new stock arrives and everything has to be lifted and moved around. But we like being part of the community here. The Indore weather can be tough, but the shop stays busy enough to keep us occupied.
