Alka Gallery

Alka Gallery is located at 9/3 Manorama Ganj in Indore. We are quite close to Geetabhavan and right by Anand Bhavan. This isn’t a huge showroom or anything like that. It’s a local place where we keep various items for people to look at and buy. I’ve lived in Indore for a long time, so setting up here felt right. The building is older, but it has a lot of character. We spend our days arranging things and talking to whoever walks through the door. Sometimes it’s busy, and other times it’s very quiet and I just sit and read the paper. We don't use any corporate talk here because it’s just us. We try to have a good variety of things so there is something for everyone. If you’re looking for a specific item, you can just ask and I’ll tell you if we have it or not. It's not a complicated business. We just want to provide what the local folks are looking for. The street outside can get a bit noisy with all the traffic, but inside it’s usually calm. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us doing the daily chores. Cleaning the glass and dusting the shelves takes up a lot of time. It’s just honest work.
