Aashirwad General Stores

You’ll find Aashirwad General Stores at Shop No 36 on Netaji Subhash Road in the Biyabani area of Indore. It’s right near the main Biyabani crossing. The shop has been around for a while now, and it’s a pretty simple setup. We sell the usual things people need for their kitchens and homes. Indore is a place where people like to talk, so we end up chatting with the neighbors quite a bit during the day. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every bit of wall space for shelving. It can get a little disorganized when we have new stock coming in and nowhere to put the boxes yet. Netaji Subhash Road is usually pretty noisy with all the bikes and cars. We stay open until late because that’s when people realize they ran out of something for dinner. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting, then a sudden rush where everyone wants something at the same time. We don’t have any corporate training or anything like that. We just learned how to run things by doing it every day for years. The floor is a bit worn down from all the walking, but it’s a solid place. We just focus on keeping the basic stuff available so the locals don’t have to go too far. It's about being here when someone needs a pack of matches or some sugar at the last minute.
