Aakash Kirana

Aakash Kirana sits right on the Main Road at 534/9 in the Patni Pura area of Indore. Our pincode is 452003. If you’re looking for us, we are located near the church, which most people in the neighborhood know well. This shop is where I spend most of my waking hours. It’s a typical kirana store with bags and boxes of stuff everywhere. The Main Road gets quite a bit of traffic, so there is always noise from scooters and cars passing by. We try to keep things simple. People come in for their daily groceries and household items. I don’t use any fancy computers; I just keep track of things the old way. It works for us. Patni Pura is a good place to be, and the church nearby brings a lot of foot traffic on certain days. The store is a bit small, and the lighting isn't the brightest, but we have what’s needed. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door during monsoon, but we just put out a bucket and keep going. Customers are mostly families from the nearby streets. We’ve been here long enough that we know who likes what. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. We just open the doors, sell our goods, and close up when the day is done. It’s just a regular Indore kirana shop doing its part for the local folks.
